Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Systems Safety Avionics Engineer to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Our team defines system requirements, analyzes the design, assesses test data, reviews operating and maintenance manuals, and assesses risk through systems safety analysis.
You must be flexible, dynamic and proactively communicate with your co-workers, management and customers alike.

Essential Functions:
Support Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality EngineeringPerform Functional Hazard Assessments, Preliminary System Safety Analysis, System Safety AssessmentsSystems design analysis respective of potential failure modes affecting functional hazards, fault tree analysis, common mode analysis, Failure Modes Effects AnalysisDefine appropriate safety requirements and requirement validation and verificationCustomer interaction and supportProject coordination and oversightAbility to examine a system's design to evaluate hazards and assess risks as well as ensure the system architecture can meet the assigned probabilities for each hazardFamiliarity with the testing process to coordinate with test developers to ensure that tests adequately address the safety-critical aspects of the designExperience using safety analysis tools such as CAFTAAbility to quote and estimate work effortInterfacing with customers, suppliers and internal functional groups (sales, marketing, customer support, etc.
)Help maintain and develop engineering processesAssist in the design, test and maintenance of all products
Qualifications:
Requires strong knowledge of job area.
Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Must have 6 or more years of directly related professional experience preferably in the avionics industryExperience must include writing systems requirements and systems validation proceduresKnowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E safety processesKnowledge of DO-178 and DO-254 processesMust be a US Citzen#LI-JV1Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplineExperience with surveillance products (TCAS/TAWS/Transponders/Windshear), displays or flight data recordersGood interpersonal skills and be able to work with multiple teams and directly with customersAbility to take initiative to eliminate barriers and uses resources to ensure desired resultsFosters an environment that promotes creativity and innovationSelf-motivated with good communications skillsAble to work without appreciable management oversight and directionAbout the Company:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
